Oldest, First Built Georgia Visitors Center in the state located at 8463 Burton's Ferry Hwy., Sylvania, Ga.
Dell Goodall House ( c. 1815). Town of Jacksonboro, Formerly Screven County Seat, was Destroyed by a curse. The Dell Goodall House is all that remains. (open by Appointment)

Donna's Bakery & Deli has been featured in Southern Living Magazine and will appear again in a Spring issue in 2001. Located at 603 W. Ogeechee Street, Sylvania, Ga.

Screven Motor Speedway is located on 6118 Savannah Hwy., Sylvania. Thrilling dirt track racing!

Tuckahoe Wildlife Management Area is a state owned hunting preserve with a year round hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, bird watching, bike riding, walking, or horseback riding on 15, 071 acres. Located on Brannen's Bridge Road in Screven County. (912) 829-3291

Briar Creek Country Club is private 9 hole golf Course with a driving range, putting green, tennis courts, and swimming pool. Contact James Snow at (912) 863-4161 for tournament dates, membership, or visitors pass.

Robbins Grist Mill is the only operating water powered grist mill in Georgia. Established in 1803, the mill operates each 1st and 3rd Saturday from October through April. Located eight miles south of Sylvania on Highway 21.

The Old Clerk's Office, currently housing the Screven County Chamber of Commerce, was established in 1896.

The Wade Plantation, established in 1823, is one of the largest irrigated pecan orchards in the south. They also grow corn, soybeans, wheat and other crops. Millhaven Plantation is one of the largest plantation east of the Mississippi River.  Millhaven offers Hunt Clubs for dove and deer.  Contact Brady Tedder at 912-531-7801 for more information.

The Little Ogeechee Baptist Church, established in 1790, is located in Oliver, Ga.

Boyhood home of Bucky Dent --Major League baseball player and "Most Valuable Player" in the 1978 World Series.

Home of the late Robert Waters -- Quarterback for the San Fransisco 49er's and coach at Western Carolina University.

National Co-Champion and State Champion Persimmon Tree -- located on the Tuckahoe Wildlife Management Area. Documented in 1994 by the U.S. Forestry Service.

Mrs. Herman Hagan, a Screven County resident was the great granddaughter of John Roebling who designed and engineered the Brooklyn Bridge.

Rocky Ford, Georgia is noted for its many Artesian Wells, historical downtown, and was the first county seat.
